<p>A24 is seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Global Director of Events to lead the ideation, production, and execution of high-impact events across film, television, awards, brand, talent, and company initiatives.
Based in Los Angeles and reporting to the Head of Specialty Marketing, this role will serve as a key leader within the company’s experiential efforts—shaping event strategy from conception through managing a team and vendors, and ensuring events reflect A24’s signature voice, creativity, and attention to detail.</p> <p>Initial Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead strategy, planning, creative direction and execution for events across the A24 ecosystem—film premieres, awards season campaigns, film festivals, talent dinners, brand activations, and more</li> <li>Manage all event logistics: concepting, timelines, budgeting, vendors, venues, ticketing, staffing, travel, creative development, permits, and on-site execution</li> <li>Serve as lead producer for large-scale events; collaborate with internal departments (Marketing, Publicity, Brand, Distribution, International, Business Affairs, etc.) to ensure alignment and executional excellence</li> <li>Act as a brand steward to ensure all events reflect A24’s creative vision and standards</li> <li>Build and manage relationships with external partners including sponsors and partners, venues, vendors, production teams, and talent representatives</li> <li>Oversee and mentor events staff and/or freelance teams during periods of high volume</li> <li>Track budgets, timelines, and recaps for each event; drive process improvements and cross-functional coordination</li> <li>Partner with internal stakeholders on the annual Corporate events and celebrations</li> <li>Oversee and avail opportunities for brand partnerships and sponsorships of events and serve as a liaison with external brand partners</li> <li>Serve as a key partner on festival planning and talent engagement, including Sundance, Cannes, Telluride, TIFF, etc.</li> <li>Optimize A24’s Events work flow - create & maintain systems of organization and budgeting (ie: Google Drive, Dropbox and emerging technologies)</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in experiential marketing, publicity events, or film/TV entertainment events</li> <li>Deep knowledge of the film and television landscape, including awards season, talent handling, and industry events</li> <li>A strong understanding of film exhibition standards and technology</li> <li>Track record of leading complex, high-profile events from end to end—ideation through execution</li> <li>Strong production chops with impeccable attention to detail, time management, and creative problem-solving</li> <li>Creativity in spades and experience working within budgets without sacrificing quality and polish</li> <li>Excellent communicator and team collaborator; comfortable working across departments and leadership levels</li> <li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on, independent environment</li> <li>Experience with union vendors, permitting processes, and festival/event credentialing a plus</li> <li>Flexible to travel and work nontraditional hours as needed during campaigns and productions</li> <li>Polished and effective communicator skilled at reporting progress and with years of experience managing others</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skill</li> <li>Humble, diligent and resourceful</li> <li>Ability to travel as needed</li> </ul> <p>We are looking for diverse perspectives.

We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training.
