Senior International Trade Finance Analyst

The Senior International Trade Finance Analyst plays a lead individual‑contributor role within Trade Finance, responsible for advanced execution, analysis, and problem‑solving across global trade finance activities. In addition to day‑to‑day trade finance execution, this role serves as a subject‑matter expert and escalation point for complex broker invoicing, duty validation, and trade‑related financial controls. Reporting to the Manager, Trade Finance, the Senior Analyst operates within the first line of defense, with increased autonomy and responsibility for issue resolution, mentoring, process improvement, and cross‑functional coordination. This role directly supports financial integrity, audit readiness, and cost visibility for global trade activities. Responsibilities Advanced Trade Finance Execution • Lead execution of complex trade finance activities related to customs broker invoices, duty payments, and trade‑related fees. • Perform detailed validation of high‑risk, high‑value, or exception‑based invoices and entries. • Serve as an escalation point for invoice discrepancies, rate interpretation issues, and duty/fee anomalies. • Ensure accurate and timely financial settlement aligned with regulatory and internal control requirements. Broker Invoice Audit & Financial Controls • Lead pre‑ and post‑payment audits of customs broker invoices and trade‑related charges. • Independently identify trends, root causes, and systemic issues impacting invoice accuracy or financial controls. • Partner with the Manager, Trade Finance to drive corrective actions and recovery efforts. • Maintain audit‑ready documentation and evidence supporting trade finance activities. Data Analysis, Insights & Reporting • Perform advanced analysis of trade finance data to identify: Cost drivers and savings opportunities Broker performance trends Recurring discrepancies or inefficiencies • Develop and refine reports and dashboards that provide leadership‑level visibility into duty spend, broker accuracy, and operational performance. • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.
