As General Maintenance – Upholstery, you will perform general preventive and corrective maintenance procedures and respond to guest or operational repair needs, with focus on assigned discipline. You will operate a variety of equipment and machinery including saws, drill presses and hand/power tools to perform repair and maintenance work. You will also perform upholstery repairs in all areas: carpet, wallpaper, canvas and fabrics. You will report to the Assistant Manager – Island General Maintenance Responsibilities Your Responsibilities – How You Will Make a Difference • Maintain and execute work orders and estimate time and materials • Inspect and remove and replace old and worn padding, upholstery filling and broken springs • Measure, cut and sew fabric and attach to a furniture frame • Promote a safe work environment; Comply with the safety competencies, and all company policies • May provide lateral service to other departments • Obtain a criminal background check • Bring approved work shoes ** Disney Cruise Line is a drug-free workplace.
